What does a pet on private land insurance policy cover?
Cover for public liability
This policy protects you from legal fees and compensation costs if a member of the public is injured or their property is damaged due to an animal escaping from your property.
You can select either £1m or £5m in public liability cover when taking out your policy. There is a £100 excess for any claims related to third-party property damage.
Add cover for events, visitors and more
If you plan to take your animals to events or shows, you can add extra cover for activities such as animal displays, handling sessions, and educational talks. We can also insure you for visits from the public.
How much does it cost to insure pets on private land?
The cost of insurance varies based on several factors, including the cover you choose and the activities you plan to include.
Policies start at just £127 a year, which includes £1m of public liability cover.
