What is insurance for animal clubs?
Insurance for animal clubs and societies is designed to safeguard your organisation if an unexpected incident occurs. Whether it’s a club member, a visitor, or even a volunteer who faces an injury or damage to their belongings, this policy can offer financial protection.
A comprehensive policy can cover legal expenses and compensation, allowing your club to continue running smoothly without worrying about the unexpected.
What does animal club insurance cover?
Public Liability Insurance – Up to £5m
Public liability cover is essential for shielding your animal club or society from legal costs and compensation. It can pay out if someone is injured or their property is damaged during a club event or meeting.
A £100 excess applies to any third-party property damage claims.
Member-to-Member Insurance
If one member accidentally injures another or damages their property during club activities, they’re protected as part of your public liability cover.
Employers’ Liability Insurance – Up to £10m
If your animal club employs staff, whether they are full-time, part-time, or volunteers, it is legally required to have employers’ liability insurance. This protects your club if an employee is injured while working, covering legal costs and any compensation awarded.
Enhance your policy with extra cover
Personalise your policy with these optional extras:
– Up to £10,000 coverage for birds and reptiles lost due to fire or theft (during shows)
– Up to £7,000 coverage for club-owned equipment and staging lost to fire or theft (during shows or in secure storage)
– Up to £3,500 coverage for cups and trophies lost to fire or theft (during shows or in secure storage)
